Tallowa is a family-owned, organic soap and ancestral skincare company. Each product is handcrafted with care in Tampa, Florida, using clean, pure, and all-natural ingredients. We never compromise—our formulations are always free from toxins, artificial fragrances, fillers, GMOs, and harmful additives. If it's not good enough for our family, it’s certainly not good enough for yours!

Our Story

Hi, I’m Gigi, founder of Tallowa. My journey began after the birth of my first child—a time when motherhood reshaped my priorities, placing safe and effective skincare at the forefront.

Throughout my pregnancy, I struggled with dry skin, itching, and rashes, prompting me to closely examine the ingredients in store-bought skincare products. I discovered these products were often laden with harmful chemicals, toxins, and preservatives. Determined to find a safer, natural alternative, I began exploring traditional skincare methods used by our ancestors.

Through my research, I gained profound appreciation for the simplicity and effectiveness of ancestral skincare ingredients. Many of these ancient remedies, once considered mere folklore, are now being validated by modern scientific research, highlighting their timeless benefits.

Inspired by this, I started creating handmade soaps enriched with herbs from my garden and simple, wholesome ingredients. This soon expanded into crafting nourishing tallow balm and other organic skincare products for my family—including gentle baby products and specialty soaps for my husband. My goal was simple: to ensure that every product touching our skin was safe, nourishing, and authentically natural.

Our Ingredients

At Tallowa, we proudly champion regenerative agriculture. Most of our products begin with carefully selected, grass-fed tallow, hand-rendered by us from start to finish—honoring an ingredient deeply valued by our ancestors.

We firmly stand by synthetic-free skincare, avoiding emulsifiers and preservatives entirely. Instead, we craft pure, anhydrous (oil-based) formulations that remain naturally shelf-stable without additives, aligning perfectly with how human skin was intended to be nourished. If I wouldn’t apply it to my family’s skin, you won’t find it in our products.
